RANK Grading Syllabus

Gradings are conducted every 3 months. To be ready for gradings, one must know the following set syllabus according to rank and must have good attendance during training classes. Instructors will access if you are ready for grading during trainings.

White Belt

  • Poomsae: Kibon
  • Blocks: Low Block, Mid section Punch
  • Stance: Walking Stance, Horse riding Stance
  • Kicks: Front Kick, Turning Kick
  • Free Sparring
  • Self Defence: 2 x set defence from a punch
  • Theory: Contact Instructor 

Yellow Belt

  • Poomsae:Taeguek 1, 2, 3
  • Blocks: Low Block, High Block, Inner Arm Block.
  • Stance: Walking Stance, Forward Stance, Back Stance
  • Kicks: Front Kick, Turning Kick (variety), Axe Kick
  • Free Sparring
  • Self Defence: Set defence from wrist Grab. (Number of sets depends of belt tip rank)
  • Theory: Contact Instructor
BLUE Belt
  • Poomsae:Taeguek 4, 5, 6
  • Blocks: Back fist stike, Double knife hand block, outer arm block
  • Stance: Forward Stance, Back Stance, Horse Riding Stance
  • Kicks: Spin Turn Kick, Back Kick, Side Kick, Push Kick & Combination kicks
  • Free Sparring
  • Self Defence: Set defence from Lapel Grab. (Number of sets depends of belt tip rank)
  • Theory: Contact Instructor

 

RED Belt

  • Poomsae:Taeguek 7, 8, Koryo
  • Blocks: Pushing Block, Double knife hand (Low), Half moon strike.
  • Stance: Forward Stance, Back Stance, Cat Stance
  • Kicks: Spin Turn Kick, Spin Hook Kick, Back Kick, Side Kick,  & Combination kicks
  • Free Sparring
  • Self Defence: Set defence from Throat Choke. (Number of sets depends of belt tip rank)
  • Breaking: 1 hand and 2 leg breaks.
  • Theory: Contact Instructor

 
Cho Dan Bo to 1st Dan

  • Poomsae:Choice of 3 Taeguek poomsae & Koryo.
  • Blocks: Combination (Variety)
  • Stance: Forward Stance, Back Stance, Horse Riding Stance
  • Kicks: Spin Turn Kick, Jumping Back Kick, Side Kick, Spin Hook Kick,  & Combination kicks
  • Free Sparring
  • Breaking: 2 hand and 3 leg breaks.
  • Self Defence: Set defence from single punch, Wrist Grad, Lapel Grab, Throat chock ( 2 sets each)
  • Theory (writen): Contact Instructor
